Guide for Authors

Article Structure and Formatting Guidelines:

  • The article should not exceed 8000 words (maximum 20 pages).

  • Prior to submission, the manuscript should be checked for plagiarism using the “Samaneh Hamandjooye Pazhooheshgahe Oloum va Fanavari Etela’ate Iran (IranDoc)” system, accessible at http://tik.irandoc.ac.ir. The plagiarism report, indicating a similarity score below 20%, must be submitted alongside the article and other required documents. To do this, visit the IranDoc website, register, and enter craft.rahpooyeh@soore.ac.ir in place of the editor’s email address, and then enter the code 4k1rpk.

  • The article should be formatted in a Word document and submitted with a PDF file. Uploading the Word file of the article, author details, and an English abstract is mandatory.

  • The article title should be in BNazanin font, size 14.

  • The Persian abstract should be in BNazanin font, size 11. Keywords should be in the same font and size, in bold or italics.

  • The English abstract should be in Times New Roman font, size 10. Keywords should be in the same font and size, in bold. The English abstract should be comprehensive, with a minimum of 800 words. Inclusion of the article title in English is essential.

  • Suggestion: The English abstract should be placed within the text, after the Persian abstract.

  • The body text of the article should be in BNazanin font, size 12. Direct quotations exceeding forty words should be indented (0.5 cm) from the right margin (font size 11).

  • Headings within the article should be in BNazanin font, size 13.

  • Author information should be provided in a separate file, listing the names and roles of the authors in a row format, using BNazanin font, size 8. Author details should be included as footnotes on the same page. The corresponding author should be identified in a separate paragraph.

  • Order of Author Information:

  • Professional title, academic rank or highest educational degree, affiliated organization (department, faculty, university, in that order), city, country, email address, ORCID code. This information should be written in both Persian and English. The table below must be completed and uploaded in the files section.

  • The supplementary/additional file must contain the table below.

  • Please complete the following table accurately and submit it in the file upload section under the title “Supplementary/Additional File.” No changes will be accepted after submission.

If the article is extracted from a thesis, please indicate this.

Academic rank includes student or graduate for students, and other academic ranks for professors, field, department, faculty, university, city, country.

This order should also be followed in English.

Authors are advised that failure to comply with the above will result in the article being returned.

  • Photographs (images, tables, and charts) must have a number, caption, and reference, and only photos referenced in the article should be used. The number and caption should be placed below the image, using the same font as the article text, in size 10 bold.
  • Tables should be in the same font and two sizes smaller, size 10 light.
  • The number and caption of tables should be above the table and in bold font size 10.

In-Text Referencing Style

  • Book Reference: (Author’s last name, year of publication: page number) Example: (Rezaei, 1370: 10)
  • Article Reference: (Author’s last name, year of publication: page number) Example: (Hoshiar, 1396: 25)
  • Third-Party Quotation: Piaget (1973), as cited in Mansour: 1376
  • Additional explanations should be added at the end of the article, before the list of references, in the footnotes section.
  • All English names and words, especially technical terms, should be provided in Persian in the text and in English in the footnotes.
  • Specific words or names, technical terms, and specialized concepts should be identified in the text with quotation marks “-----”.

Article Structure:

Abstract and Keywords:

  • The Persian abstract should be a maximum of 250 words, and the English abstract should be a maximum of 1200 words (consistent with the content of the Persian text). The structure of the presentation of information should be as follows:

  • Statement of the problem and importance of topic selection, research objective, one or two sentences about the research subject area (preferably the main question(s));

  • Statement of the operational logic, type and method of research, introduction of the statistical population (if any) and method of data collection;

  • Statement of the most important research findings and a summary of the conclusion.

  • Keywords: Between 4 and 6 words (Persian and English) separated by commas.

  • Introduction: Includes the statement of the problem and concern of topic selection, introduction of the objective, theoretical framework of the article, a review of related studies (under the title “Research Background”)[i], as well as a review of the history and description of words, fields, and specialized literature on the subject.

  • Research Methodology and Operational Logic: Statement of the type of research, research method, reason for choosing this method, method of data collection, tools used in the research, method of data analysis, detailed characteristics of the sample or statistical population.

  • Research Findings: Direct report of the results of the research method and citation of the findings obtained.

  • Discussion and Analysis: The researcher’s interpretation of the findings, considering the research objective and approach, as well as the perspective or attitude considered in the article. At the end of this section, a scientific and valid answer to the main research questions should be given.

  • Conclusion and Suggestion: The conclusion directly explains the status of the objective initially outlined, and in this section of the article, it will be determined whether the desired objective has been achieved or whether a change of direction and perspective has occurred. Accordingly, the researcher should provide suggestions at the end for correcting, advancing, or continuing their research in the future.

Referencing Style at the End of the Article[ii]:

  • Book:

  • Last name, first name of author (year of publication). Book Title (U), place of publication: publisher. (In English texts, the first letter of the author’s name is used instead of the author’s name).

  • Electronic Book:

  • Author or authors’ information (year of publication). Title. Publisher: Place of publication. Electronic address of the book (date of access)

  • Books Containing a Collection of Conference Papers:

  • Last name, name of compiler (year of publication). Title of the collection of articles, name of the conference (U). Place of publication: Publisher.

  • An Article Published in a Book of Conference Proceedings:

  • Last name, first name (year of publication). Article name. Name and last name of the compiler of the collection of articles, name of the conference (U) (starting page – ending page of the article). Place of publication: Publisher.

  • Example:

  • Ahmadi, Ali (1394). Instructional Design. Compiled by; Hossein Mousavi, Collection of Articles of the Second Educational Technology Conference, (pp. 305-326). Tehran: University Publications.

  • Article:

  • Referencing articles published in journals follows the same procedure as books regarding the number of authors and the method and order of writing.

  • Author’s last name, first name (year of publication). Article title. Journal Title (U), Journal Number, Volume Number (Journal Number in the Volume), Initial Page Number - Ending Page Number.

  • Thesis and Dissertation:

  • Last name, first name (year of completion of the dissertation or thesis). Title of the dissertation, Master’s thesis or… (U), University name, city name. (If the thesis or dissertation has a specific retrieval number in the database, specify it). (If the thesis or dissertation is online, mention the name of the internet database or internet address)

  • *Other cases should be adjusted according to the APA referencing style guide as needed by the researchers.[iii]
