Aims and Scope of the Journal:
The ultimate and aspirational goal of this journal is to influence and be influenced by the scientific and educational communities through the most up-to-date research achievements. This includes the application of methodical and academic findings to establish constructive engagement with society and industry. This significant matter will only be realized if academic, research, and educational centers adopt an approach that charts a roadmap for achieving a desirable future in their specialized fields. To this end, the Rahpooyeh Honarhai-e-Sana’i journal, while modeling and utilizing the valuable experiences of reputable and similar scientific journals in other universities in the country, announces and introduces the following perspectives to approach its highest goals, and invites all researchers, thinkers, enthusiasts, and graduates to accompany us on this path by submitting scientific texts and the latest achievements of their fundamental research and applied findings to the journal.
- Identification, documentation, and introduction of the scientific background, as well as cultural and artistic records in the field of Iranian-Islamic arts and crafts.
- Content analysis and scholarly, judicious critique of indigenous arts, traditional arts, applied arts, and local arts of Iran in past eras and contemporary times.
- Scenario writing and futures studies to chart a roadmap in preserving, reviving, promoting, and developing Iranian-Islamic arts at the regional and global levels within the Islamic world.
- Anticipating and utilizing the educational and research capabilities of the country to create greater communication between the fields of handicrafts (arts and crafts) with various levels of society and the country’s manufacturing industries.
- Attention to the role of entrepreneurship and job creation, fostering hope, and striving to train skilled and semi-skilled personnel from the young generation and the future builders of Iran.
- Presenting constructive and realistic proposals in addressing the needs of the artistic community, manufacturing industries, and macro-level cultural, artistic, and educational planners of the country.
- Exchanging ideas and creating a platform for scholarly discussions and critique of the performance of systems related to arts and crafts, Islamic arts, and applied arts at various educational levels.
- Emphasizing the necessity of research and methodical scientific approaches in current issues and challenges facing the handicrafts community and artists of traditional and applied arts in confronting the conditions of contemporary Iran and the world.
